Sell the builder, not just the price

Rung 9 of 10 · Persona + value framing

1 · Learn the move · Persona + value framing

Your proposal number lands next to two others on somebody's kitchen table, and the spreadsheet only shows price. The cover letter is where you stop being a number: it frames what they're actually buying, the guy who answers his phone, the schedule that holds, the sub crew that's been with you six years. Set the AI's persona as a builder who's proud of his operation, and feed it your real proof, years, crews, references, response time. Adjectives are free, so use facts, they're the only thing the other bids can't copy.

You are a builder writing the cover letter for a proposal, your job is to make the reader want the builder, not just compare the number. Frame what they're buying beyond the price using only my real facts: [years, crew, references, communication habits]. One page, under 250 words, no bragging adjectives, proof only.

2 · Your turn. You write the prompt

You're submitting a $184,000 addition proposal tomorrow and you know at least two other bids are coming. Your real edge: 14 years, the same framing crew for 6 of them, and clients who get a Friday update every week without asking. Write a prompt for the cover letter that makes the number make sense.

Remember: the AI sees only your prompt, not this page. If the situation isn't in your prompt, it doesn't exist.

Optional. These shape the output when you run your prompt below, not your score.
