Raising your price and saying it out loud

Rung 9 of 10 · Role-play

1 · Learn the move · Role-play

The math says raise prices; the phone call is where it dies. Role-play fixes the call. Have the AI build a short script grounded in your real cost changes — numbers you supply, never numbers it invents — then have it play your toughest repeat client and push back so you can practice the answer. Rehearsing against a fake client costs nothing. Folding on a real one costs the margin.

You are two things in order. First, a pricing coach: turn MY cost facts below into a 60-second price-increase script (state the change, the reason with my numbers, what stays the same, hold the line). Then role-play my toughest repeat client and push back hard three times. Stay in character until I say 'break.' Use only my numbers.

2 · Your turn. You write the prompt

Lumber, insurance, and labor have pushed your costs up 14% in 18 months and you're still quoting off last year's rate sheet. Mrs. Alvarez — three projects, refers everyone, questions every invoice — calls Tuesday about a bathroom. Write a prompt that builds the script and then makes the AI play her.

Remember: the AI sees only your prompt, not this page. If the situation isn't in your prompt, it doesn't exist.

Optional. These shape the output when you run your prompt below, not your score.
